During the week 15 - 18 March, selected Year Seven and Eight children from Hanmer Springs School, Greta Valley School, Waikari School and Waipara Schools headed off into the hills to stay at Windy Point Lodge near The Boyle Outdoor facility. The children were involved in outdoor activities to challenge themselves and their relationships with others whilst learning leadership skills on the way. These leadership learnings will be put into practice over the rest of the year in the schools. This photograph shows the whole group returning to Windy Point after a very successful rock climbing expedition, where individuals had comfort zones tested and fear of heights allayed. Trust in others was another skill practised in this activity. A most successful camp with thanks going to the adult leadership teams from each school, Lions Groups and BOTs.
